Geoff Ebert Recognised as Lawyers Weekly 2023 Law Awards Finalist

The last 12 months have been exceptionally busy for Your Online Legal Group co-founder and principal solicitor Geoff Ebert. 

Being named as a finalist in the Australian Law Awards Regional/Suburban Solicitor of the Year reflects the effort involved in pioneering a new way and launching what has become Australia’s largest divorce provider bringing together the past 30 years of his contribution to the legal profession, community and sporting groups throughout Queensland.

Being a keen observer of the change in how legal services are delivered, Geoff launched the online platform Your Divorce in late 2018. 

He realised that there was a trend away from face-to-face legal services generally and saw the need for providing access to a divorce service online from  home for several reasons, the main one being safety along with ease and affordability. 

That service has grown now supported by a team of 15 employees and consultants. 

With their assistance the firm has built back-end systems which both enhance the speed in which divorce services can be provided while also keeping the client completely up-to-date with their matter.

Geoff, together with his wife Maria, seeks to inspire, inform and at times entertain the hard-working, kind and empathetic crew that are the backbone of this unique legal team.

When not at the office, Geoff is coaching AFL working with the Brisbane Lions Academy, giving assistance to community and charitable institutions and occasionally sneaking in a game of golf with Maria.
