Obtaining a Marriage Certificate

A requirement for a divorce in Australia is that a copy of your marriage certificate is filed with your divorce application. If you do not have a copy of your marriage certificate you can order a copy from the applicable birth, deaths & marriages registry below:-

Please click here to order your marriage certificate from the New South Wales Registry.

Please click here to order your marriage certificate from the Queensland Registry.

Please click here to order your marriage certificate from the Victorian Registry.

Please click here to order your marriage certificate from the Northern Territory Registry.

Please click here to order your marriage certificate from the Tasmanian Registry.

Please click here to order your marriage certificate from the Western Australian Registry.

Please click here to order your marriage certificate from the South Australian Registry.

Please click here to order your marriage certificate from the Australian Capital Territory Registry.

Please click here to order your marriage certificate from the New Zealand Registry.

If you were married overseas other than New Zealand, you will need to contact the relevant authority in that country to obtain your marriage certificate. If they are unable to provide you a copy of your marriage certificate, please contact us on help@your-divorce.com.au to discuss your options.

Once you have ordered your marriage certificate you can start the divorce process with us while you wait for the registry to send you the certificate. Once you receive the marriage certificate you will then need to send it to us.
